Awesome Levitation Magic Tricks

Who doesnt love a good levitation trick? Everyone remembers Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board but that was hardly a working trick. There are many other levitation-styled magic tricks that are still used and even perfected today. All those tricks range from the levitating of a single, small item, to the levitation of large groups of people. All of which are made to be awesome magic tricks that amaze anyone who takes the time to watch.

One very simple levitation magic trick is called Cup Levitation. The object of this magic trick is to appear to make a styrofoam cup float in mid air. First you must prepare your cup for its upcoming trick by carefully putting a hole, about the size of your thumb, in the side of your cup. To make it even easier on yourself start practicing this trick with a Styrofoam cup so that you can easily push your thumb through the one side. Announce to your audience that you are now going to make a cup float in mid air. Insert your thumb into the hole discreetly while holding the cup with both hands and face your audience. Proceed by acting as if you are pushing pure magic towards the cup with your hands so that it will float. Then, slowly release your grip so that your thumbs are well hidden behind the cup and it looks like your hands are sprawled open behind the cup. Make sure you continue the acting as if flowing magic towards the cup thus making it float. There you go, awesome magic tricks can be very easy.

Always remember that you are not attempting an impossible feat, rather you are creating the illusion that you are successfully performing an impossible action. Levitation tricks are of the most loved and awesome magic tricks in our world today. Many are still marveled by the levitation tricks and many always will be.

Another simple levitation trick that is one of the more awesome magic tricks out there today is called Ketchup Levitation Trick. This trick is very simple, easy to perform, and requires minimal props. For this trick to work you will need a clear plastic bottle, such as a water or soda bottle, and a condiment package of ketchup, like the ones you get in the drive through at a fast food place. Scrape the label off of the bottle so that your audience can see clearly through it. Fill that bottle with cold water and put the packet inside the bottle. It should stay floating at the top. Hold the base of your bottle and gently squeeze. When you are squeezing the packet should float downwards and when you are releasing the packet should rise. Presto! You have performed the awesome magic trick of making ketchup float!

Now that you know some basics of the art of levitation you should practice a bit and show off your new skills to all of your friends!

Magic Tricks For Kids – A Great Combination

It’s always enjoyable performing magic tricks for an appreciative audience. Once you get a few magic tricks under your belt, you’ll be hooked on performing your craft because there is something really rewarding when a well executed magic trick leaves your audience in disbelief and applauding all at the same time… and that’s the real magic.

The element of doubt in the mind of your audience is the key to a good magic trick. Just a dab of doubt and you can see the people in your audience start to question their rational… and for that moment the illusion is truly magical.

Being in touch with your audience is the showmanship part of the magic trick and is vitally important. It is also the most fun part as a performer. The look in their eyes, their laughter all make it worthwhile.

When you first start out performing magic tricks, there is a good chance that the bulk of your audiences will be comprised of children. In the eyes of the kids your tricks will truly be magical and the look of the faces and the giggles from the children are a reward like no other.

A child’s imagination and the art of a magic trick are a wonderful combination. A child’s imagination is a wonderful enhancement to any magic trick. It’s that unique and innocent perception of the world that kids have that make performing magic tricks for them all the more rewarding.

Even something as simple as the disappearing coin trick will have kids giggling with joy as you first make the coin disappear then reappear from one of the children’s ears. They’ll love and beg you to do even more with them! And if you can’t get hooked on the innocent reaction of children then you can’t get hooked at all.

The best part about performing magic tricks for kids is that kids just know how to be kids… after all that’s exactly what they are. And magic to kids is just that… magic. I mean… after all… what is the major draw to Disney World for kids… well… Magic Kingdom… of course!

If you are just taking up learning a few magic tricks, an audience full of kids is a great way to get started. And even though you may decide to take your magic tricks to even higher heights, you’ll never have a better audience than a room full of young children.

So don’t worry about starting small… as in kids… you’ll probably find that you’ll always enjoy working your magic trick for kids.

Beginner Card Tricks: Magic Cards

Magic has been around for centuries. It has even been associated with medieval times in stories of Merlin and King Arthur, which has made religious people believe that this was evil. And people who knew it and practiced it were considered to be heretics and were burned at the stake.

Now who would ever imagine that magic has now gained a more favorable popularity? With more than a handful of famous magicians amusing innumerable audiences, magic has never been this much loved before. This popularity has made a lot of people yearn to learn some magic tricks. One of the most basic is the use of magic cards.

A deck of cards is one of the most common props used by magicians. There are many forms of magic tricks a person can do with a deck of cards. Here’s what one aspiring magician has to learn in manipulating magic cards:

The first thing that a person must learn is how to shuffle. This is done using both hands and by having a certain amount of cards on each hand. Then alternately put one card over the other until all the cards are in one stack then putting them together to form a uniform pile.

After that, one can start performing certain tricks that will both fool and amaze the audience. Some well known magicians can make a cigarette go right through a deck of cards while others can make a card float in the air with no visible strings attached.

The most basic trick that anyone can master however is letting someone pick a card and after shuffling it, picking that same card the person selected moments ago. There are so many other tricks one can do with a deck of cards and all it takes is some time to get to know these tricks, practice it then show off to friends.

Other than using magic cards, there are so many other tricks, which involve other props or paraphernalia such as a coin, a hanky, or even a small ball. The use of cards in performing a trick is merely an execution of various optical illusions and manipulation, which just goes to show that the hand is quicker than the eye.

Cards can be bought at the local specialty store or ordered online. Sometimes these come with other special packages that will make tricks more fun to perform and watch.

One secret that either a newbie or an expert can benefit on while using a magic card or just about any magic props is to not reveal the secret of how the tricks are done.

A great place to start with Beginner Card Tricks is with Learn Easy Magic. It starts with the absolute basics. There are 4 books each one dealing with different area of magic. One book for doing tricks with money, one for doing tricks with cards, one for doing tricks with everyday objects and even on for doing mind reading illusions.

Beginner Card Tricks: A Simple Magic Card Trick To Amaze Your Friends

Over recent years there has been a lot of interest in magic tricks, with the popularity of shows by David Copperfield and David Blaine an obvious indicator. But magic tricks don’t have to be confined to the professionals – anyone can perform magic tricks. You just need to learn how the trick is done!

Some tricks require you to master a number of special skills like the force (getting someone to take the card you want them to without them realizing it) and the pass (swapping the top and bottom of a deck of cards without being seen). But the trick here doesn’t require any special skills to learn. It just requires a little bit of preparation. This trick is known as The Lost Ace.

After introducing a pack of unprepared cards, the performer removes the four Aces from it and lays them on the table in plain sight. The remaining cards are then handed to a spectator with the request to ensure there are no duplicate Aces in the pack. After this has been done, the conjurer picks up the four Aces and requests the spectator to shuffle them into the pack.

The performer then asks the spectator if they are sure they have all the Aces in their possession. After receiving and affirmative answer, the performer reaches into a pocket and produces the Ace of Diamonds. Upon inspection of the pack, this card is found to be missing!

Like all magic tricks, once you know how it’s done you’ll wonder how you could have ever fallen for it.

Previous to the trick, the performer removes the Ace of Diamonds from the pack, and places in a pocket. The cards laid on the table consist of the three Aces and the Nine of Diamonds, which is used as a substitute for the missing Ace of the same suit. To conceal the side pipe of this card, the Ace of Clubs and Ace-of Spades are made to cover it. With a little practice this can be done in an apparently careless manner of arranging the cards on the table, and finally placing the Ace of Hearts over them.

The trick then proceeds as described, the four cards (supposed to be four Aces) being shuffled into the pack. Then after the Ace of Diamonds is found to have vanished from the pack, the missing card is produced from the performer’s pocket.

This trick is simple to do, but it is sure to entertain your friends and family as they wonder how on earth you did it!
